2011 All-Star Game - August 6 at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium The Fox River Valley American Legion League annually holds a league all-star game following the completion of postseason tournaments. Each league coach nominates four players from his team for the all-star game and one or two players from each team are then selected to participate in the game. Coaches are selected on a rotating basis. The teams will be divided between the American Conference and National Conference squads. The game will last nine innings and be followed by the annual league banquet. National Conference Wins 2011 FRV All Star Game The National Conference scored the go ahead run in the bottom of the sixth inning to come away with a 8-3 win. The National's got scored twice in the first inning on RBI singles by Ryan Radue and Joe Lautenschlager. The American's would take the lead in the top of the second inning scoring three times. Back to back to back RBI singles by Dylan Bersch, Tanner Gussart, and Wes Mleziva made the score 3-2 American Conference. The score would stay that way until the bottom of the fourth inning when Joe Sommers singled to right field scoring Trevor Argall to tie the game 3-3. In the bottom of the sixth, Argall singled to right scoring Dante Wilmet with the eventual winning run. Nick Janssen would later score on a fielders choice, making the score 5-3 National's. They would tally three times in the eight inning, RBI singles by Clay Letter and Brady Callahan made it 7-3. Trent Whitcomb would later score on a wild pitch making the score 8-3. De Pere's Dante Wilmet earned the win, while Peshtigo's Chris Mylener took the loss. On the day the National team collected 16 hits. The George Husby Award signifying the games MVP went to Tyler Willman of Oshkosh. Willman pitched two innings, allowing no hits and striking out five.
